The Phoenix 870 sailboat comes plug and sail ready. Just install your own 2 channel surface radio, complete final assembly and go! Modeled after ocean going racing yachts, the Phoenix's hull is molded fibreglass composite with a perfect gelcoat and enamel painted finish. Supporting the colorfully printed rip-stop nylon main sail is a rugged aluminum main mast. All required items are installed, including mainsail winch, steering servo, rigging, sail and hardware. All you need to do is add your own 2CH or more radio system and battery! Protecting your expensive electronics is a O-ring sealed water resistant hatch. Dressing up the model are a few scale details like steering wheel and deck rails.
The weighted keel stabilizes the Phoenix, even in a stiff breeze, yet she'll keep going in lighter winds too. Sailing the Phoenix is a great way to spend an afternoon in the sun. Sit back, relax and let the fun of RC sail boats blow you away. Give the Phoenix 870 a try, you'll be glad you did.
